Bale Ola-Olu (Ola \u2018Bale) is a contemporary Nigerian sculptor whose practice travers\u2019s material innovation, monumental form, and social engagement. He trained at the Department of Fine Art, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree, a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture, and a Ph.D. in Sculpture. Bale\u2019s artistic journey reflects both rigorous academic grounding and an expansive engagement with lived experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bale is inspired by nature and his immediate environment; he draws on elements of daily life for his artistic expressions. Drawing from the textures of everyday life, Bale reimagines familiar objects, musical instruments such as guitars and drums, animals like lizards, fish, and birds, as well as domestic utensils, into sculptural expressions that oscillate between abstraction and naturalism.
